# Furniture Removals from the UK to Poland

Not every move to Poland means shipping a whole home. Sometimes it is a specific set of items: a sofa, a bedroom set, an inherited chest of drawers, or furniture bought in the UK that is going back with you. Easy Move transports furniture from the UK to Poland as a shared load: you pay for the cubic metres your belongings occupy, and customs paperwork and insurance are included in a fixed price.

## How Much Does It Cost to Send Furniture from the UK to Poland?

The price depends on volume and distance. From London to Warsaw, Poznań, Wrocław or Gdańsk:

| Volume | What usually fits | Price from |
|---|---|---|
| 2.5 m³ | a sofa, or a bed with a mattress and a few boxes | £750 |
| 5 m³ | several larger pieces, e.g. a sofa, a wardrobe and a dining table with chairs | £900 |
| 10 m³ | the furniture of a studio flat | £1,425 |
| 15 m³ | a 1-bedroom flat | £2,025 |
| 20 m³ | a larger 1-bedroom flat | £2,175 |
| 40 m³ | a 2-bedroom home | £4,425 |

To Kraków, Katowice, Rzeszów and other cities in the south and east of Poland the route from London is longer, so the smallest load starts from £825. From the north of England and Scotland the price is higher, for example Manchester to Warsaw from £975 for 2.5 m³. The calculator quotes routes of up to 2,350 km by road, which covers most of Great Britain and Poland. You can see the exact price for your addresses in a minute with the [UK to Poland removals calculator](/removals-from-uk-to-poland/).

How do you estimate the volume? As a rough guide: a three-seater sofa is about 2 m³, a double bed with a mattress 1.5-2 m³, a two-door wardrobe about 1.5 m³, and a removal box 0.1 m³. For more examples see our guide to the [cost of moving from the UK to Europe](/cost-of-moving-uk-to-europe/).

## Shared Load: You Pay for the Space You Use

With a shared load, your furniture travels in one vehicle together with other customers' shipments going the same way. You do not pay for an empty van, only for your part of it. For a few pieces of furniture or the contents of a studio flat this is usually the cheapest option. Loads of around 40 m³ can travel in a separate vehicle.

All prices are fixed. The price from the calculator is the price you pay: no fuel surcharges and no fee for delivery to a smaller town.

## How Furniture Transport to Poland Works

**1. Get your price.** Enter the collection address in the UK, the delivery address in Poland and the volume. You see the price straight away, with no phone call and no obligation.

**2. Confirm your booking.** Within 24 hours of confirmation we give you a collection date and prepare the customs documents. We need an inventory of your items, a copy of your ID or passport and confirmation of your new address in Poland.

**3. Collection, border and delivery.** The driver collects the furniture from your UK address, helps with loading and secures the items with straps in the vehicle. You get the driver's contact details before departure, and delivery is to your door in Poland, usually 2-4 working days after collection.

## Prepare Your Furniture Before Collection

Easy Move takes care of transport, customs clearance and delivery. We do not pack or wrap furniture, so before collection:

- take apart what can be taken apart (table legs, bed frames) and keep screws and fittings in a labelled bag taped to the piece
- empty wardrobes and chests of drawers, or tape the drawers shut
- wrap furniture in blankets, stretch film or cardboard, and protect the corners with card
- pack glass, mirrors and glass tops separately and mark them "fragile"
- prepare an inventory for customs, item by item, with an approximate value

If you do not have time to pack, you can book that service from a local removal company in the UK and leave the transport to Poland to us. For large or heavy pieces, arrange help with carrying, especially if you live on an upper floor without a lift.

## Customs and Paperwork After Brexit

Since 2021, sending belongings from Great Britain to Poland is an import into the European Union and needs a customs declaration. Used furniture that you have owned for at least 6 months and that is moving with you because you are relocating your home to Poland is exempt from customs duty and VAT under **Transfer of Residence** relief.

The declaration needs:

- an inventory of the goods, ideally in Polish, with an approximate value
- a copy of your ID or passport
- proof that you lived in the UK (for example a tenancy agreement, utility bills or council tax)
- confirmation of your new address in Poland

Furniture that is new or recently bought does not qualify for the relief and may be subject to duty and VAT. We prepare the declaration as part of the fixed price. For details see our guide to [UK to EU customs clearance](/customs-clearance-uk-to-eu-guide/).

---

## What the Price Includes

- collection from your address in Great Britain, with the driver's help at loading
- the Channel crossing and road transport to Poland
- customs documents and the declaration
- insurance of your goods in transit up to €500,000
- delivery to your door anywhere in Poland, including smaller towns

It does not include packing, wrapping furniture or storage.
